1dl Gallo Extra Virgin
- 300g Spaghetti
- 100g Grated parmesan cheese
- 100g Walnuts
- Basil leaves, to taste
- 15ml Olive oil flavored with basil leaves
- Rock salt, to taste
Method of preparation
Cook the spaghetti in water and rock salt.
When cooked, drain and drizzle with some Gallo Classic Olive Oil.
For the pesto sauce, put in a blender jar the olive oil, the walnuts and the basil leaves.
Blend to a paste, and then add the cheese.
Serve the pesto with the spaghetti, and drizzle the basil flavored olive oil over the pasta.
Making basil flavored olive oil: Heat some Gallo Classic Olive Oil to 100ºC. Take off the burner and add the basil leaves, and then let it cool. The mixture can be blended.
The Gallo products that the Chef suggests for this recipe can be substituted by other Gallo varities of your preference.
